Alerts follow your latest plan
Nothing changes on screen with this update. Behind the scenes, the daily check that sends alerts for your saved client searches now reads your plan as it stands at the moment it checks your account, so a change you saved just before that check always counts.
October 26, 2026
House lines checked on the wheel
Nothing changes on screen with this update. Last week the chart wheel turned so the Ascendant sits at nine o'clock and the Midheaven toward the top. Our automated checks now also confirm that every house line and house number turns with it, so a house can't drift out of place on a future update without us noticing.

Settings on your account page
Settings now open on your account page. Choosing Settings from the account menu in any workspace, or pressing ⌘, in Astrology, takes you to the page that already held every setting, from your profile and chart defaults to each practice's draw preferences and your plan. The smaller settings window that opened over the workspace is gone. It showed only part of that page, so some settings could be changed in two places and others in only one.
The menu's separate "Account home" entry is gone too, since Settings now goes to the same page. Your browser's back button returns you to the workspace. Charts and readings saved to a client, and boards in progress, are kept; birth details you haven't saved to a client yet are not, so save those first.
October 24, 2026
Charts drawn from the horizon
Chart wheels now sit the way astrologers draw them. The Ascendant is on the left at nine o'clock, the Midheaven is toward the top, and the signs and houses run counter-clockwise from the Ascendant. Until now the wheel kept 0° Aries on the left and ran the signs clockwise, so the horizon tilted differently on every chart.
This works the same for every house system, Placidus and Whole Sign included. It also covers bi-wheels, shared charts, live sessions and PDF exports, with transits and a partner's planets turning with the inner chart. A chart without houses still starts at 0° Aries on the left.
October 24, 2026
One node, one Lilith
The body picker in your account settings now treats the lunar nodes and Black Moon Lilith as a choice rather than a collection. Pick the mean North Node or the True Node, and one of the three Black Moon Liliths (mean, true or interpolated). Ticking one unticks the others, so a wheel no longer shows two glyphs for the same point a few degrees apart.
The South Node now sits opposite whichever node you pick. Before, it only followed the mean node, so choosing the True Node left the South Node off your charts.
If you'd already saved both nodes or more than one Lilith, your charts stay as they are for now. The settings page asks you to choose one the next time you save.

Progressions in client search
Client search has a new Progressed tab. Pick a progressed planet, an aspect and a natal planet, then search one day or a date range to find every client whose progressed chart makes that aspect. One click runs the progressed lunar return, when the progressed Moon comes back to its natal place around ages 27 and 54.
Progressions are read to a tight 1° orb, the usual convention, so a match means the aspect is close to exact. A progressed aspect stays in orb for months, or years for the slower planets, so the tab opens on a year-long range. Results work like any other search: open a client, email the people who matched, or save the search and get an email when a new client matches.

The beta switch means off
The Beta features switch in your account settings now does what it says for every account that has one. Some accounts kept seeing the I Ching workspace after switching beta off. Now switching it off hides I Ching everywhere it appears, and switching it back on brings it back with your settings as you left them.
October 23, 2026
Library pickers that match the workspace
In the interpretation library, the tarot meaning-set picker and the rune-set picker now share the workspace's colours, so they sit on the dark panel like every other control rather than as a plain white box. Each picker's name now sits above it, the way field labels do elsewhere in the workspace.
October 23, 2026
Roster alerts that follow your plan
Roster alert emails now follow your plan. They're a Professional feature built on your astrology clients, so if Astrology or Professional leaves your plan, or your subscription ends, the daily alert emails pause. Your saved searches stay exactly as you left them, and alerts pick up again with the first daily run after your plan covers them.
October 23, 2026
Steadier release checks
Nothing changes on screen with this update. Behind the scenes we updated the tools that build and check each release to their latest releases, and gave a couple of our slower automated checks a little more time, so a busy day on the build machines no longer holds a finished release back.
October 23, 2026
A verification email for every practice
The email that brings your verification code now introduces Stiorrian as the practitioner's workspace rather than the astrologer's. It matches the welcome email and reflects everyone who works here, whether you read charts, cards, runes or numbers.
October 7, 2026
A chart digest for Bazi
Bazi charts now get the same chart digest the natal chart has. Open a Four Pillars chart and a short reading appears above the pillars, drawn from your own library: an overview, then strengths, growth, challenges, virtues and career. It starts from the Day Master and reads outward through the elements, the Ten Gods and the Luck Pillars.
It works the way the natal digest does. You can rewrite it in your own words and save it as that chart's digest, or go back to the generated one at any time. When you edit a pillar or any other reading, the digest refreshes to match. The digest is now part of the Bazi PDF too, so the report you hand a client carries it under the pillars.
One small fix while we were there: when no digest is available for a chart, for example with AI generation switched off and no digest of your own written yet, the natal and Bazi PDFs no longer print an empty "Chart digest" heading.
October 7, 2026
Tidier engineering notes
Nothing changes on screen with this update. Behind the scenes we tidied the engineering notes we keep beside the code. Rules that had been written down in several places now live in one, and the notes for each practice are kept apart, so work on tarot, runes, numerology, the I Ching or astrology starts from the notes that matter for that practice.
October 2, 2026
Pay for the practices you use
Stiorrian is now priced by practice. Choose the practices you read — astrology, tarot, runes or numerology — and pay for those alone.
- Starter is $4.99 a month for each practice.
- Professional is $9.99 a month for each practice. It adds astrocartography, BaZi, your own tarot decks and rune sets, roster search, client booking and the rest of the Professional tools.
- Yearly costs ten months: $49.90 or $99.90 a year for each practice.
All four practices come to $19.96 a month on Starter, or $39.96 on Professional. Mix them however you like: a tarot reader can take tarot alone, and an astrologer who also reads numbers can take both. Your tier, Starter or Professional, covers every practice on your plan.
Changing your plan. It all happens under Billing & plan on your account page.
- Adding a practice opens it straight away, and you pay for the rest of the current billing period, prorated. During your free trial it costs nothing until the trial ends.
- If you open a practice that isn't on your plan, you can add it right there.
- Dropping a practice keeps it open until the end of the period you've paid for, and you can undo that until then.
- Moving up to Professional starts straight away, prorated. Moving back to Starter happens at the end of the period.
Monthly or yearly. You can switch in Billing & plan too. Going yearly charges the year now, less the unused part of your month. Going from yearly to monthly turns the unused part of your year into account credit, which pays your next monthly bills. That credit isn't refunded to your card, and it stays on your account if you cancel.
If you already subscribe, nothing changes. Your plan keeps every practice at the price you signed up for. To move to the new pricing, open Billing & plan and choose Switch to per-practice pricing; you'll see the new total before you confirm. Any practice you leave out closes when you switch, and the unused part of your current plan is credited. Founding seats keep every practice at their locked rate, with nothing to switch.
Your card, invoices and cancelling are still under Manage in Stripe. The I Ching is still in beta, so it isn't for sale yet. We've updated the Terms of Service to cover the new pricing.
October 1, 2026
Back to your account after subscribing
After you subscribe, you now land on your account page, which confirms the subscription went through. Before, the confirmation could go unseen, and it wasn't always clear that the payment had worked.
We're still working on letting you choose exactly which practices you pay for, and on changing your plan from inside Stiorrian. We'll share the details when it's ready.

Clearer upgrades and billing
Two billing fixes this week.
If you already subscribe, the Upgrade to Professional buttons on astrocartography, Bazi and branding now take you to your billing page to change your plan. Before, they could start a second subscription alongside the one you already had. If that happened to you, write to us and we'll refund it.
If a payment doesn't go through, the workspace now says so and takes you straight to updating your card. It no longer asks you to subscribe again. Your clients, readings and notes stay right where they were.
Behind the scenes, we've also laid the groundwork for more flexible plans. Nothing about your account changes today.

I Ching shares work again
A small fix for the I Ching beta: sharing a saved cast with your client briefly answered "I Ching readings can't be shared yet" after yesterday's update. That message was a placeholder from before sharing existed, and it came back by mistake. It is gone, and Share with client hands your client a link to the cast and its readings again.
September 29, 2026
The I Ching arrives in beta
There is a new workspace behind the "Beta features" switch: the I Ching. Founding members can turn it on in account settings, and it appears as a tab beside the others.
- Casting. Cast a hexagram line by line, from the bottom up: with three coins, with yarrow-stalk odds (where, as with the stalks themselves, a changing yin line is rarer and a changing yang line more common than with coins), or by entering lines you cast at the table yourself. The board shows the primary hexagram and, when lines change, the hexagram it becomes. You can also show the nuclear hexagram hidden inside it.
- Reading the changing lines. Read every changing line, or follow Zhu Xi's rules for which line leads when several change. The choice is recorded with each cast, and your default lives in the I Ching settings.
- Interpretations. Every cast lists the texts it reads, in order: the hexagrams, the changing lines and, under Zhu Xi, the principal line. Each works like a tarot card or a rune: a draft to start from, your own default across clients, and your edits for one client. Hexagrams carry their Chinese characters, pinyin and English name. The Dictionary has an I Ching tab with all 64 hexagrams and their lines.
- Saved readings. Save a cast to a client, from your roster or as a new client, and it saves itself from then on. Reopen any saved cast from Readings, keep your client notes beside the board, and read a synthesis of the whole cast, or write your own, which is saved with that reading.
Sharing a cast with your client, the PDF and live sessions come next, before the I Ching leaves beta.

I Ching readings you can send, print and cast together
The I Ching workspace, still behind the "Beta features" switch, can now hand a reading to your client in the three ways the other practices do:
- A link for your client. Share a saved cast and your client gets a page of their own: the hexagrams drawn line by line, the relating and nuclear hexagrams, every text you read from, and the synthesis. It is exactly the reading you saw, and if you have already read the synthesis, the link carries that same one.
- A PDF. Export a cast with its hexagram figures, the changing lines marked, the names in Chinese characters and pinyin, each text's reading and the synthesis. An unsaved cast exports too, without the synthesis.
- Live sessions. Go live and your client watches each line appear as you cast it. Switch on "Client casts" and they can tap to cast the next line themselves. The cast still happens on your screen, with your chosen method, so they are never choosing a line.

Two small directory refinements
Two small improvements to the Practitioner Directory, following this morning's release.
- Your practices, as your profile shows them. If your specialties already point to a practice, such as Synastry pointing to Astrology, the Practices field in your profile editor now shows it as selected, with a note that it comes from your specialties. It matches what visitors see on your card and page. To turn it off, remove those specialties, and unselect it too if you also chose it yourself.
- Cards show the most relevant specialties first. A directory card has room for five specialties. When a visitor filters by a practice, your specialties in that practice now come first. Otherwise they are grouped by practice, instead of appearing in the order you picked them.
September 28, 2026
Every practice, on every page
The Founding and Grow pages were still written mostly for astrology and tarot. They now describe everything Stiorrian does:
- The Founding page covers runes and numerology beside charts and tarot. It explains that a client link carries a spread, a cast or a numerology reading as well as a chart, and that in a live session your client can draw the cards and runes themselves. The founding seat's feature list is now built from the same lists as our plans, so it always shows the full Professional set.
- The Grow page says the same about client links, and its Professional plan card now lists astrocartography, BaZi, your own tarot decks and rune sets, and roster search alongside the practice-page features.
- The front page now lists your own rune sets as a Professional feature, since they have shipped. It no longer shows them under "coming soon".
September 28, 2026
Landing page positions match the chart
On the home page, the planet positions printed beside the example chart and in the shared-reading preview were typed in by hand, and one had drifted a degree away from where the wheel drew it. They are now read from the same data the wheel is drawn from, so the text and the chart always agree.
September 28, 2026
Numerology and Runes for everyone, and a directory for every practice
Numerology and Runes are out of beta. Both workspaces are now open on every plan, with nothing to switch on: numerology profiles, rune casts, your own layouts, shares, PDFs and live sessions, all beside your charts and spreads.
The directory has grown to match. It is now the Practitioner Directory, and your public profile can say what you actually practise:
- Practices. Choose any of astrology, tarot, runes and numerology. Your page and your directory card show them, and your page's title names what you do, such as "Astrologer & Tarot Reader". If your profile already has astrology specialties, it shows Astrology straight away without you saving anything.
- Specialties by practice. Specialties are grouped under each practice and now include each tradition you read in: Rider–Waite–Smith, Thoth, Marseille and oracle decks; the Elder Futhark, Younger Futhark and Anglo-Saxon Futhorc; Pythagorean and Chaldean numerology; and sidereal astrology and astrocartography. You can list up to 15.
- How you meet clients. Two new session formats are available: a live session your client follows on their own screen, and a written reading by link or PDF.
Visitors can filter the directory by practice first, then by specialty.
The Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the welcome email now speak to practitioners of every practice, not only astrologers. The Terms' existing note that readings are not professional advice now covers readings in every practice.
September 28, 2026
Profile editor accessibility
The profile editor now works better with a keyboard and a screen reader.
When a control is locked, you can still reach it with the Tab key, and it tells you why it is locked. This covers three cases: a practice that comes from your specialties, a specialty you can't add because you've already chosen fifteen, and the offerings field once you've listed six. Before, those controls were skipped with no explanation. Specialty buttons now also announce whether they are selected, rather than showing it only through colour.
September 28, 2026
A small fix to the client profile form
In the Astrology workspace, the Email and Phone fields on a client's profile showed in the browser's default white instead of the dark style of the fields around them. They now match the rest of the form. Nothing about how the fields work has changed.
September 27, 2026
A site search engines can read, and a front page that shows all four practices
Until now, anyone opening our public pages without a full browser, such as a search engine or an AI assistant looking something up, got an almost empty page. Everything was drawn by the app after it loaded. That's fixed.
- Public pages arrive complete. The home page, the Founding and Grow pages, this journal, the Terms, Privacy and Attributions pages now load with their full text, a proper title and description, and structured information search engines understand: what Stiorrian is, what the plans cost, and the answers in our FAQ. Links to them also unfurl with a real title and summary when you paste one into a message.
- Your practice page and the directory are always current. Your About page and the directory are now built fresh from your latest details every time they're opened, so a search engine sees what a visitor sees. When you edit your bio, the change shows up within about a minute. The sitemap now lists each practice page at its own address, which is the one we want search engines to remember.
The front page has also been rewritten to show everything Stiorrian now covers: astrology, tarot, runes and numerology in one workspace, read from a library you write once and use with every client, and live sessions your client can draw in. The footer, the Grow page and the Founding page were updated to match, and the animation at the top now shows a spread, a rune cast and a numbers grid alongside the charts.
September 27, 2026
Two small fixes in the Numerology and Runes workspaces
The reading date box in the Numerology workspace was drawn in the browser's default white, and the calendar that opens from it was light too. Both now match the rest of the workspace's dark fields. Nothing about how the date works has changed.
In the Runes workspace, the question now sits on a line of its own under the set, layout and stone pickers, so a longer question has room to be read as you type it.
September 27, 2026
Your own rune sets, with your own stones and meanings
Until now the Runes workspace read with three historical rows: Elder Futhark, Younger Futhark and the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc. On the Professional plan you can now build rune sets of your own, for the stones you actually read with.
- Your stones, in your words. A set holds up to 120 stones, and you can keep up to ten sets. Give each stone a name and a short description of what it means to you, and say whether it reads differently turned over. Write your own upright and merkstave meaning for any stone; where you leave one blank, its draft reading is written from your description rather than from a traditional rune.
- Any glyph, or a picture of the stone itself. A stone's face is either any character from the Runic block or a photo you upload of your own stone. PDF exports now include every character in the Runic block, so whichever glyph you pick prints.
- It works everywhere the built-in rows do. Cast with a set digitally or record a manual cast, save it to a client, share it, present it live and export it to PDF. Your pictures appear on the share page, in the live session and in the PDF, and your sets and their stones appear in the Dictionary.
- Past casts keep their stones. Each saved cast keeps its own copy of the stones as they were cast, so editing or deleting a set later never changes how a reading you have already made is laid out. Deleting a set does also delete the meanings written for its stones, along with their draft readings, so a past cast on that set shows its stones without them. The set manager says so before you confirm.
The first time you save a set with pictures, we ask you to confirm that you own them or hold the rights to share them with your clients, as we do for custom tarot decks. A set made only of glyphs asks nothing. Pictures count toward the same storage allowance as your custom decks. The Terms and the Privacy Policy have been updated to cover rune sets alongside decks.
September 26, 2026
Chart angles, clearer boards, and clients who draw their own cards
The angles have been on the wheel since the start. Now they read like everything else in the chart.
- Ascendant, Midheaven and Descendant are readings of their own. Each angle has a sign reading, and every planet's aspect to the Ascendant and Midheaven gets a card in the interpretation panel. An aspect to the Ascendant is also an aspect to the Descendant from the other side, so we keep it as one reading and name both, as in "Sun conjunction Ascendant / opposition Descendant", instead of two cards that say the same thing. The Descendant now has its own marker on the wheel. The angles also carry through to the drawer, the PDF report, the chart digest, the Dictionary and roster search. A chart without a birth time shows none of them, rather than angles that look real but aren't.
- Empty positions look empty. An unfilled position on a tarot spread or a rune layout now shows a numbered outline on a reading cloth instead of a card back. You can tell at a glance what is still to be drawn and what is lying face down.
- Your client can draw in a live session. When you draw digitally, turn on client draws while you are live and your client gets a Draw button: each tap lays the next card or rune into the spread. The draw still happens on your side, with your deck, your reversal settings and your face-down rule, so the cards land exactly as they would if you had drawn them, and you turn them over together.
In the Runes workspace, three new stones join the set: Ash Wood, Copper and Iron. Every photographed stone now carries its photographer's credit wherever the picture appears, and a new Attributions page, linked from the footer of every page, lists each photo and font we use with its source and licence.
Two smaller fixes. Chart interpretations are now written as if spoken to your client. And a long aspect list in the PDF report now continues onto a new page, where before it could run off the end of one and lose rows.
September 14, 2026
Sidereal zodiac, and clients who arrive before their chart
The most requested thing on the astrology side has been a sidereal option, and it is here. You can now read in the tropical or sidereal zodiac, with a choice of five ayanamsas: Lahiri, Fagan-Bradley, Raman, Krishnamurti and True Chitrapaksha.
It works the way the house system does. Set your default once in Settings and every chart follows it; override any single chart from its editor when one client reads differently from the rest, and keep tropical and sidereal charts side by side on the same canvas. A sidereal chart shows its ayanamsa beside the chart type, and that carries through to share links, live sessions, the PDF report and roster search, so whoever is looking at the chart sees the same wheel you do. Solar return timing stays where it belongs: the return is still the moment the Sun comes back to its natal degree, shown in whichever zodiac you read.
The interpretation library is shared between the two. A Sun in Leo reading is the same archetype whichever zodiac put the Sun there, so your edits and defaults apply either way, and the chart digest is told which zodiac it is describing so the prose never calls a sidereal chart tropical.
This is the foundation for the Vedic layer we have been asked about: nakshatras, North and South Indian chart styles and dashas come next, on top of this.
Two other changes today:
- Clients can exist before their chart does. From the Tarot workspace you can create a new client on the spot when saving a reading, with or without birth details. A client without them shows "No birth details yet" in your roster, and when you open one on the astrology side the birth form opens straight away rather than a chart that looks real but is not.
- Your primary workspace is now a setting. Bare
/app opens whichever of Astrology or Tarot you pick.
One fix worth naming: a few of you found the PDF export failing until you reloaded the page. That happened when we shipped an update while the workspace was already open in your tab. The app now recovers from that on its own, and we changed how we publish updates so an open tab keeps working through a release.
September 12, 2026
Tarot, BaZi and the full digest are out of beta
Several things that our founding members have been using behind the beta switch are now on for everyone.
- The Tarot workspace is a second tab beside Astrology on every account. Three traditions, ten built-in spreads plus your own custom layouts, digital or manual draws, saved readings per client, and the same share, PDF and live tools the chart side has.
- BaZi Four Pillars is a chart type on Professional plans, with its own interpretation layer.
- Extended body selection is in Settings for every plan: choose which bodies your charts compute, from the extra lunar points and the main-belt asteroids through the Uranian points, up to 26 at a time.
- The chart digest now has all seven sections for everyone. If a chart already had the first four cached, we only generate the three it lacks, so nothing regenerates and nothing you have already read changes.
The "Beta features" toggle stays in your account settings. Nothing sits behind it today; leaving it on means you will see the next in-progress feature as soon as we put one there.
Smaller things from the same day: the new emblem is in the site navigation, with a line about what the name means underneath it, and the sign-in form now centres itself on a phone instead of sliding off the edge of the screen.
September 11, 2026
The move to Stiorrian is complete
The rename we announced yesterday is finished on our side. Every account, saved profile, share link, reading and photo has been carried across to the new home, and we spent the day closing the last gaps: a handful of redirect edge cases from astranova.vip addresses, a few deploy-pipeline details that the move had disturbed, and our own runbook for anyone who needs to reproduce what we did.
We also have a logo. The old placeholder mark is gone and the real Stiorrian emblem now sits on the site and in the app. Expect it to show up in a few more places over the coming days as we tidy the branding to match.
If you have not signed in since the move, the note from the last post still applies: choose Forgot password on your first visit to set a new one, and everything else carries over.
September 10, 2026
AstraNova is now Stiorrian
The workspace has a new name and a new home: Stiorrian, at stiorrian.com. Nothing about the product changed with it — the charts, the tarot table, the interpretation library, the share links and the booking flow are exactly what they were yesterday. The name is the only thing that moved.
Every old link keeps working. An astranova.vip address redirects to the same page on the new domain, including your practice page: jane.astranova.vip lands on jane.stiorrian.com. Share links you have already sent to clients stay valid. The old domain will not be renewed once it lapses, so update anything you have printed or pinned when you get a chance, but there is no deadline on your side.
One thing does need your attention. The rename reached the sign-in system underneath the app, so every account was moved across and you will be signed out. The first time you sign in at www.stiorrian.com, choose Forgot password and set a new one. Your profiles, settings, saved readings and subscription carry over unchanged. Mail from us now comes from [email protected], and the contact address is [email protected].
On the name. Stiorrian draws on Old English and Old Norse roots that carry two meanings at once: the stars — Old English steorra, Old Norse stjarna — and to steer — stīeran, stýra. The same root gives us "steer" and, by a longer road, "star". That double sense is what this workspace has always been for: not a feed of predictions, but an instrument you navigate by. It felt like the right thing to be called.

Stripe Connect is approved — booking payments are live
Stripe cleared our Connect application, so the manual review we posted about last time is done. Astrologers can now go to their dashboard and connect a Stripe account to start taking payments directly from clients through AstraNova's booking flow.
The booking payment setup flow itself is now working end-to-end — if you tried the "Set up payouts to accept bookings" button before and it errored out, that's fixed. Come back and give it another shot.
August 19, 2026
Stripe Connect is in review
Booking payments run through Stripe Connect, and our platform account is currently in Stripe's manual review queue for Connect access. Existing features aren't affected — this only touches the booking payments flow, which isn't live yet. We'll post here as soon as it clears.

Welcome to the Journal
This is a new spot for updates on AstraNova — upcoming features, vendor hiccups, and anything else worth sharing directly instead of letting it sit in a changelog.
